What FoodSignal is

An information service about packaged food. It reports label information we hold, with its source, and explains it.

What FoodSignal is not

It is not a doctor, a dietitian, or an allergy testing or diagnosis service, and it does not guarantee that any food is safe for any person. Ingredient and nutrition information can differ from the packet in your hand because of reformulation, pack size, the country you bought it in, or gaps in our records. The current packaging is always the authority.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think somebody else has used your account. You may delete your account at any time.

The subscription

Five product analyses are included when you create an account. After that a subscription of €1.99 per month is required to analyse further products. It renews monthly until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time. Your saved products and scan history remain available to you whether or not you subscribe.

Contributions

If you send us product information, see the contribution terms. In short: factual information from packaging can be used to improve the FoodSignal database.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to extract the database in bulk, disrupt the service, or use it to make claims about a food that we have not made.

These terms are written to be readable rather than exhaustive, and should be reviewed by a qualified professional before FoodSignal takes payment at scale.
